LORRY DRIVER SIMULATOR TRAINING
LGV and HGV Lorry Driver Simulator Training is designed to put drivers in real world situations that they may find when out on the road. Airlines have used simulators to train pilots for many years and now Keep Legal have invested in this technology so that it can provide companies and drivers a new immersive learning experience.
Using a lorry driver simulator allows us to provide drivers with tailored training in a variety of areas.
Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving is becoming more important as companies seek to control costs and fall in line with the needs to cut emission quotas, and one way of doing this is to have drivers who are fully trained and understand how they can drive in different scenarios to make good use of fuel.
Gamifying this process means Keep Legal can provide cutting edge training for drivers. Think of it as playing truck driving games on Playstation like Euro Truck Driver.
However, truck driving is not a game, it is a serious business, and being a well prepared, safe, and knowledgeable driver puts you ahead of the pack in terms of career opportunities.

TRUCK/LORRY DRIVER TRAINING SIMULATOR
This high-tech truck/lorry driver training simulator equipment supports the training of new drivers, as well as benefiting more experienced individuals, thanks to the various training courses it can provide. Built on hydraulics, it can be adapted to prepare drivers for all types of driving conditions; wet weather, snow and icy roads, city driving and country driving. This innovative machine can also be adapted to simulate different weighted vehicles, offering a more realistic experience for drivers.
It also allows ARC to assess drivers more thoroughly than in a standard vehicle by creating specific scenarios and hazards which drivers may otherwise be unprepared for. The driving simulator also supports safe and defensive driving training in a controlled environment and saves on average 5-7% on training fuel for typical haulage companies per annum.
LORRY DRIVER TRAINING SIMULATORS - WHY USE THEM?
SAFE DRIVING
Lorry Driver Simulator Training using realistic accident scenarios, with numerous preprogrammed routes where drivers will experience hazardous situations, but the trainer can also define the scenarios and modify driving conditions in real time.
SLOW MANOUVERING FOR HEAVY GOODS VEHICLES
Reverse parking scenarios in a yard, manoeuvering through a coned area, and manoeuvering through a tight City/Town environment are just a few of the scenarios drivers can use on our lorry driver training simulator.
ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DRIVING
An eco-driving programme combines safe driving with economical driving. By applying eco-driving principles, fuel consumption is reduced, and it becomes easier to apply safety actions every day to avoid accidents. Challenges are presented to the driver to teach these principles in a fun and practical way.
CLASS 1 AND CLASS 2 DRIVER SIMULATION TRAINING
Our simulator can bet set up to support truck, van, bus, coach and car training. A wide variety of scenarios can be either pre-programmed or adjusted in real time to provide the best possible training environment.
HAZARDOUS DRIVING SCENARIOS
Our lorry driving simulator can bet set up to duplicate a wide range of hazardous driving scenarios including weather (rain, snow and ice), obstacles (bridges, speed humps, and bollards) as well as narrow lanes and roads that may need specific safety protocols followed.
DRIVING ACCIDENT SCENARIOS
Setting up our simulator to put drivers into a real driving accident situation is one of the best ways for a driver to learn before even reaching that point.
These scenarios can be used to make drivers aware of some of the factors that cause traffic or pedestrian accidents and test them if faced with an incident of this type.
FTA ACCREDITATION
Both our lorry driver simulator system and our trainer/s are fully accredited and remain auditable by Logistics UK. Environments and scenarios covered include: Motorway (with slip roads), countryside, town, city, logistics centres, and service yards.
