DRIVER CPC
INITIAL DRIVER CPC (MODULE 4)
Drivers who gain their first LGV/PCV licence will need to complete the Initial Driver CPC. This means passing the Driver CPC Theory Test (Module 2) (this is in addition to the Multiple Choice and Hazard Perception) and then going on to pass the Demonstration Test (Driver CPC Module 4).
Keep Legal are able to arrange the theory test and Demonstration Test for you giving you time to concentrate on passing rather than lots of bookings. Better yet, the Demonstration Test is available through one of our business partners even allowing you to carry out the Demonstration Test with your practical training and driving test.
The Demonstrate Test (Module 4) includes:
Safe use of the vehicle
Checks to be carried out before using the vehicle
Loading the vehicle securely and in a safe manner
Checking for trafficking on the vehicle and other criminal acts
Assessing emergencies and risks
Once you pass and gain the Initial Driver CPC, you will receive your first DQC (Driver Qualification Card). This will give you the qualification to use your licence for professional reasons for the next 5 years. You will have these 5 years to carry out your Periodic Training.
