Petroleum Driver Passport

As of 1st January 2015, all tankers drivers carrying petroleum products will need to be in possession of a PDP (Petroleum Driver Passport).

In order to gain the PDP, candidates will have to complete the following:

Classroom Training
Candidates will need to attend classroom training which covers a set syllabus covering Industry Standards.

Written Assessment
Candidates will need to sit an SQA multiple choice examination.

Practical Assessment
Candidates will be assessed by our SQA-approved assessors in Loading, Driving, and Unloading (Discharging).

Once in possession of the PDP qualification, candidates must then keep it validated by sitting PDP Refresher Training (Classroom and Assessment only).
